Leadership Transition at The Arc of North Carolina

Many of you may be aware that John Nash, Executive Director, resigned from The Arc of North Carolina. We wish him well in the next chapter of his career. We appreciate all the notes of support we’ve received from leaders, families, and advocates in the intellectual and developmental disability community.

At this time, Lisa Poteat is serving as our Interim Executive Director. Our team is strong and under Lisa’s leadership, it has been a seamless transition. She’s been our Deputy Director for many years and The Arc of North Carolina is in excellent hands.

The Arc of North Carolina’s Board of Directors is working closely with Lisa and will handle the process of hiring a new Executive Director.

Our leadership team is working together to do some strategic planning for what promises to be a very exciting 2025. We have lots of advocacy and policy work to be done and will need your continued support.
