The Self Advocacy Resource and Technical Assistance Center (SARTAC) is announcing a national self-advocacy fellowship program. The fellowship will provide a year-long opportunity for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to develop and grow their skills as leaders.
Fellows will work with a supporting host organization, which receives $5,000 to pay the fellow when they have completed their work.
To learn more about the fellowship and how to apply, join an informational webinar on Thursday, March 30 at 3 pm Eastern. You can join the webinar online or call in at 855-282-6330. Or CLICK HERE.
The deadline for applying for the fellowship is 5 pm Eastern on April 12. Selected fellows will be notified by May 3. The fellowships will take place from June 1, 2017, to May 31, 2018. Six fellows will be selected.
ACL funds SARTAC to empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities for enhancing their voice on issues important to their well-being and daily life.
The Arc of NC is pledging matching support to this project to support a self-advocate to do this. We’d love one of the 6 fellows to be a North Carolinian.
